Prayer Requests
Don't know where to start? Start here!
This is our basic PRAYLADY PRAYER LIST. These are good basic topics to start your day with prayer. You may want to post this list somewhere you will see it every morning; like on your bathroom mirror, or maybe as a screensaver on your computer.
1. Your hubby and kids (for safety, guidance, and salvation).
2. Special physical requests for yourself and physical requests for others (such as injury, illness, general health).
3. Ministry opportunities (and PMS Club). Ask God to reveal these; they are all around us.
4. Special spiritual requests (Bible study, prayer habits, a more spiritual perspective, salvation for others).
These are the building blocks. Later on, we'll add your requests to this list. Also, look for soon-coming essays on each of the items we've listed. If you don't have a lot of time, or aren't used to praying wordy prayers, that's ok. God knows your heart. Just ask him to bless you and those around you as you meditate on this list. Don't forget to be thankful!

My husband's boss, Mr. Johnny Durant, is having medical diffulties and the doctors are unable to pinpoint the cause of the trouble. Please ask God to touch him and his doctors.
Please be in fervent prayer for youth of our world. God has laid this heavily on my heart: as mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts, friends, Christians (!), we should be concerned about ALL young people: the children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, neices and nephews, and young friends of our Sisters! And those who may not have godly influences in their lives. They all need our prayers, love, and concern. And not just passive love, either. How will they ever know the love of God if we don't show them? To keep our own kids safe (unless we're going to lock them in the attic!), we've got to keep one another's kids safe! My kids influence yours, and your kids influence mine. God wants them ALL to be taken care of. Let's pull together in praying for--and showing love to--our own kids, our Sisters' kids, and all the others, all of whom are just as deserving of the Father's love.

Ongoing concerns:
Please pray for Rebekah's efforts in seeing a "twin's law" enacted in Louisiana. For more information, click here.
From a PMS Sister: There is a man in our community who has never come to church before that I know of. He has come two Sundays in a row. His name is Ricky. Recently, he has become very interested in God. Pray that he and his family will come to know Jesus as their Savior.
From our PMS Sister Kitty Z: My Brother-in-law and his family are Missionaries in Bolivia. Kurt and Cynthia Zimmerman and four of their five children will be traveling back to Bolivia Jan.6, 2008. Their oldest son David is now attending Asbury College. Sons Timothy(16),Luke(7),Joshua(5)and only daughter Jenny(13) all will return with their parents to Bolivia. They are great kids and I had the honor of getting to know them for the 6 months they were here in the U.S. Please pray for this family as they continue to carry God's word to the people of Bolivia.
A PMS Sister has asked for prayer for her young cousin, an 18-year-old young lady who has become involved with drugs. We should all be lifting this very prevalent problem up to the Lord; and we should all be equally concerned about all our nation's youth in this matter. The only way to protect our own children is to cover ALL of them in prayer. Keeping my kids off drugs keeps your kids off drugs. Let's be pro-active in petitioning the Lord and in speaking truthfully to our children. We must also remember to be kind and loving toward any youth who may already have developed a drug or alcohol problem. They need to know that we love them, and that we are concerned about their safety, as well as that of our own children. I'm feeling very strongly that we need to have a specific prayer drive for this matter. I'll let you know more next week.
From PMS Sister Lisa:
Destiny is my daughter; Addy is her little girl. She has had 2 heart surgeries and we are waiting on the 3rd one. Not sure where we are going. It looks like Little Rock. I know by Gods Grace that Addy will be fine. So many Praying people has prayed for this baby and God has answered those prayers. She is a mess. 2 and a half yrs old. God is Good. I cant place you but I know I have seen you or may even know you. I don't get out much anymore. Addy needs to stay in alot. The weather has been to cold for her. We spent Christmas in New Orleans in Childrens hospital. She got RSV. It was bad but she is better now. God has been so good!
